The Ombudsman for Children of Republic of Srpska spoke today in Banja Luka with the head of the UNICEF Office in B&H, Ms. Florence Bauer and her associates on the number and structure of appeals in which the Institution takes action.

Particular focus was on violence against children, and on the involvement of social welfare centers in the procedures for protecting children's rights.

The joint assessment is that the two institutions together, on many issues, can contribute to improving of the status of children in society and that in the coming period will agree joint action.
