The fifth autumn in a row Ombudsman for Children organized educational workshops on the topic "About your rights in your school" aimed to introduce children with their rights guaranteed by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The subject of this year's workshops is "Do you know what violence is?" with the purpose to inform and empower children to recognize violence and report it, not only to school, but also to the other authorized institutions.

Representatives of Ombudsman for Children in Foca, Doboj and Banja Luka have a plan to visit 27 primary and secondary schools all over the the Republic of Srpska, talk to children and school-employees in order to remind them once again and warn schools about their obligation to make Protocol on the Procedure in Case of Violence, Abuse or Neglect of Children available to children and their parents with the aim to prevent, educate and react in case of violence against children.

Workshops will finish on the International Day of the rights of the Child and 25th birthday of the Convention.
