Any person, regardless of its age, has the right to address Ombudsman for children of Republic of Srpska, in case they have knowledge that in a specific case there is a violation of rights and interests of children or there is appearance in society which in any way violates rights and interests of children or if it is of importance for their protection. Ombudsman for children will examine carefully any denouncement from children regarding violation of their rights as well as any initiative, opinion and suggestion which contributes to improvement of their condition in family, school, local community...

Child is any person who has not yet reached the age of 18, no matter if person is domestic or international citizen, if person was born in legal marriage or not, if it was adopted, or if it is under parental guardianship or not. Addressing Ombudsman for Children is free of charge.

Complaints can be submitted verbally by phone or personally by coming to the office of the institution or in written form addressed to the institution.

In complaint you should specify:

-First and last name, contact address and phone number of the person who files a complaint

-First and last name, age and address of the child

- Name of the body/institution that the complaint is related to

-Description of problem which is composed of children rights violation

-Enclose copies of acts in procedure, if one was held

Anonymous submissions

Ombudsman for children can act upon an anonymous complaint if they evaluate that allegation from complaint have enough evidence or reasonable doubt that in specific case a violation of children rights has occurred.
