November 19. is marked as International Day on Prevention of Child Abuse and aims to raise awareness about harmful effects of every form of violence against children and the need to prevent this, because every violence offends and humiliates, threatens child's dignity and leaves serious, and very often lasting effects on development of and growing up of a child.
Although the child's right to protection from violence is guaranteed by all international documents and domestic regulations, the reality for many children, unfortunately, is very different.
