On the recommendation of the Ombudsman for Children, number 1399-10 from 12. 01.2010. to AMEND the decision of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund on establishing fees for services performed by the Fund with respect to the assessment and expert evaluation of the abilities of children with special needs to live and work independently before the competent authority of Pension and Disability Insurance Fund, in a way that they are exempt from payment of compensation on that basis.

PDI Fund has informed the Institution that, on 03.14.2011, it has amended the stated decision, which means, that children in which the assessment for independent living and working is performed in the proceedings before the PDI Fund are exempt from payment of compensation on that basis.

This decision is primarily support for children and their parents, but also for social welfare centers that in these situations very often were support to families in the proceedings pending before the Fund for assessment and expert evaluation in children.
