In the work of the tribune named Domestic violence and emergent forms and recognition, organized by the Helsinki Citizens Assembly Banja Luka and United Women, Zlata Hadžić Bajrić, Deputy Ombudsman for Children has participated. Keynote speaker Bojan Arula, social worker, spoke about domestic violence, its legal framework, emergent forms, symptoms that abused child has.

A special part of the presentation was related to sexual abuse of children, and a representative of the Ombudsman for Children, presented the knowledge and experiences that the Institution has on this issue and which was discussed, among other things, on the Conference of Ombudsmen for Children of Southeast Europe, which was held in May in Banja Luka, precisely on this topic.

To establish measures to protect the child from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect or negligent treatment, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse as required by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the organizers of the Conference have proposed to conduct an advocacy campaign for making of the protocol that will clearly define the responsibilities of competent institutions when dealing with children victims of violence.
