The International Day of Autism was marked in Banjaluka and Doboj with different activities. In Banjaluka, the humanitarian concert was organized on 25 March, 2016 with participation of some well-known artists who performed for the children and adults with autism.

On 1 April, 2016 the public discussion was organized with participation of representatives of the competent ministries, the RS Ombudsman for Children, Republic Pedagogic Institute, teachers, parents, volunteers and media outlets. The conclusions form the public discussion focused on necessity to legally regulate the issue of the assistants in the schools for children with autism and to further define the rights and positions of this target group.

In Doboj, the Association for Assistance to Children with Disabilities organized a round table discussion that focused on the status of children with autism in the society. The event was held on 1 April, 2016 the American Corner with participation of representatives coming form education sector, health care and rehabilitation and non-governmental associations. The further modalities of mutual cooperation between participants were discussed and follow-up projects agreed.
