The school children all over the Republic of Srpska celebrated today the Saint Sava, the patron of education in the Serb orthodox tradition. At the occasion, the school children have had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and talents and contribute to the preservation of the tradition.

This day was the also an appropriate occasion for the City Administration of Banjaluka ot traditionally recognize and award the best pupils of twenty nine primary and 17 secondary schools. The awarded pupils were not only the best in schools but also in the activities outside the standard curriculum. The pupils were selected by the teacher's councils in respective schools.  

The Gymnasium in Banjaluka celebrated the day of Saint Sava with the programme titled "Saint Sava builds the windows" pointing out the hundred and twenty years of the tradition and important impact  that this school has in education.

Both manifestation were attended by the representatives of the Institution of the RS Ombudsman for Children.
