Marko, 10 years old

An appeal to adults that creation of conditions for development of children's potentials, as the most important and permanent obligation, was made at the beginning of the new school year,

Education is much more than a formal education and it covers numerous life experiences and learning processes which allow the children to develop their personalities, their talents and abilities. Educational system encourages and motivates these processes in all segments of children education. The goals of education are defined by law and they put an accent on development potentials of each child, development of creative and critical thinking, paying respect for the opinions of others, development of sense of cooperation and responsibility. The obligation of the school in respect to defined goals is to continuously work with students and respect the rights of each individual, because only then it will prepare a generation of young people to become responsible citizens in democratically organized society.

For thousands of first graders who will for the first time sit in the classroom, for whom one of the most beautiful period of their growing up begins, out of all school subject, the most important is the one that teaches them friendship, companionship, work habits, respect for the opinions of others, respect for differences, cooperation and responsibility. School obligation is to give to such subject priority and to respond to its obligations that it has as educational and upbringing institution. One of the prerequisites for success in school is cooperation of parents and school that begins on child's first day of school and it must be permanent and continuous. Parents and teachers are on the same mission and in mutual interest of all is to respect the child's needs and capabilities and to provide for a child sufficient time for rest, play and socialization, to support the child in all of his successes as well as to be there for a child when they fail to succeed.

Wishing all students, parents and teachers a successful new school year.
