The National Assembly of Republic of Srpska has unanimously adopted the Annual Report of the Ombudsman for Children for 2010.

Having considered the Report, the members of the Parliament in the discussion once again confirmed how the issue of the realization and protection of children's rights is demanding and responsible and how it requires the involvement of all institutions of the system.

The issue of healthy nutrition and health of children, exercise of the rights of children with special needs, alimony paying, regulation on contact, problems of beggary in children, school discipline, the role of parent councils, are just some of the questions that MPs specifically indicated.

In particular, the need to amend the Family and Criminal Law and to harmonize laws with the requirements of the Convention is emphasized and the need to strengthen the capacity of social welfare centers.

MPs have praised the approach in drafting the Report and its comprehensiveness.
