Students of E.S. "Kozarska djeca", classes 6 1 and 6 2 from Gradiška addressed the Institution with an initiative that they try to solve the problem of exercising the rights of Roma children, in their municipality, primarily the right to education."Roma children in school, not on the street" is the topic of their work, which emphasizes that all children, including the Roma children have the right to education, because education is one of basic human rights and should be available to everyone.

As the Ombudsman for Children just started an analysis of the status of this issue in all municipalities of Republic of Srpska, it was agreed at the meeting held today in their school, along with children, their teachers and principal to work together on this problem so that the Institution's report will include their engagement in resolving this issue.

Ombudsman for Children, today, in Gradiška spoke with the director of the Social Welfare Center on a number of matters concerning the rights of children in this municipality, among other things, taking care of children without parental care, children with special needs and the presence of children beggary in this municipality.
